Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 is a good product. It has all the properties that I am expecting from an AVS.

  • It updates itself daily via Internet
  • Offers good performance. It will not bog down older computers while protecting your PC like some competitor products do.
  • It actually catches many Virus and Trojan programs. I am with Kaspersky since version 5 and feel secure as this AVS has actually intercepted and neutralized many virus and trojans that I was receiving through e-mails or other means that I have never figured out.

However, this is by far a perfect product. In my opinion, its proactive defense is way to much intrusive to be actually useful. When this feature is turned on, it is going to prompt for your approval anytime an installation program wants to write into the registry, a process tries to launch another process (ie: Internet Explorer that launch Outlook when you click on an e-mail link on a web page) or just if an application tries to load a DLL.

I want you to find in this blog informations about C++ programming that I had a hard time to find in the first place on the web.
