Still trying to figure out the mission of this blog

My blog is now roughly 3 weeks old. Not a lot of readers yet, not a lot feedback neither. However I am quite enthousiast as the search engines has started to crawl my blog and I am now starting to get some hits from them.

From the beginning, I had the noble desire to make my contribution to the internet by sharing my knowledge if it can help others for all the answers that I have found myself to my numerous questions. In the same time, I am still looking how. You might have already noticed if you looked at the left of the screen that I am reading quite a lot of technical books and I also have a static HTML page containing my reading recommendations. Not much people are consulting this page but I think that this is a format problem. I will slowly migrate the content of that page to this blog and also add new book reviews as well.

I am just starting to realize what is possible to achieve on a website with a MySQL backend and this is very exciting! I will create 2 categories in this blog:

  • Book reviews
  • Recommended books

and in each of them, I will create subcategories for each type of books (Win32 programming, C++, fractal, etc...). Each book review that will merit it will also be in the 'Recommended books' category. That way my reviews will be much more well organized and visitors will be able to view only the categories of interest instead of being in front of long and continually growing static web page!

I want you to find in this blog informations about C++ programming that I had a hard time to find in the first place on the web.
